Chef Carter Vaughn is the Executive Chef at Portland’s legendary RingSide Steakhouse. Carter brings a fresh, seasonal approach rooted in classic technique. Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, his cooking is shaped by the bold flavors and resourcefulness of Southern cuisine, as well as a belief that food can both nourish and unite. Vaughn studied at The Art Institute of Atlanta and trained under French chef Cyrille Holota, developing a style grounded in discipline, seasonality, and humility. At RingSide, he honors the restaurant’s legacy while pushing the menu forward with thoughtful, creative touches.
